Project overview
The project overview tab is a useful tool for guiding users through your project and avoiding overloading them with the full complexity of the workflow or compartment graphs. It can be opened by clicking the Project button at the top-right of the window and (since JIPipe 5.0.0) will also automatically open if the current user is not in the list of known project authors.

👉 Setting up a helpful and useful project overview tab will make it easier for the users of your workflow (e.g., reviewers) to try out your pipeline.
The project overview is roughly divided into four areas:
- Header
The header contains the project name, authors, links to the website (if present), and other information. It also has information about the license and a field for a few project statistics.
At the bottom-right side of the header, you will find various quick-links to commonly used features.
- Left sidebar
By default, all panels in the left sidebar are collapsed. It contains less commonly used features like bookmarks, the editor for graph partitions, and a panel to create run sets.
- Right sidebar
Contains project-wide parameters (directories, parameters referenced from the workflow, project-global parameters). Here you can also find results that may be generated.
- Central panel
Dynamically adapts to available information and tips. Contains the project description, options to run different parts of the pipeline, and a list of helpful tips.
